The basketball court at the University of Central Oklahoma's Wellness Center had settled more than 6 inches in some areas, and was a safety hazard and a potential lawsuit waiting to happen. Lifting was necessary, and in order to maintain the usability of the basketball court and the rock climbing wall that was also built on the slab, restoring the slab to perfectly level was imperative.
Polylevel Foam was injected underneath the concrete slab through 5/8" diameter ports on an approximately 3'X3' grid, gradually lifting the slab to its designed elevation. When the injection was complete, special care was taken to patch the ports cleanly in order to keep the playing surface of the basketball court as smooth as possible. The cracks where the slab met the surrounding concrete were caulked with NexusPro joint sealant color matched to existing nearby caulking.
