Bedlam Foundation & Concrete Lifting Case Studies: Midfirst Bank - Tulsa, OK
Challenge
This Midfirst Bank, located in Tulsa Oklahoma, is one of many locations scattered across the mid-west. Being one of the most popular banks in Oklahoma; Midfirst must uphold a very high standard of service and quality. This also means that their buildings must maintain top conditions, both structurally and aesthetically. So, when column separation due to foundation sinkage occurred, it posed a huge problem for the bank. It caused the interior floor to have a slight downward slope, which served as a potential safety hazard for the staff and customers. Bedlam Concrete Lifting was contracted to restore the foundation back to its original level.
Solution
To complete this project, Bedlam Concrete Lifting used PolyLevel to restore the foundation. Due to the location of the sinking, this job had to be conducted from inside the building. This proved to be a little bit of a challenge; the interior carpet was very light in color, so extreme precautions were taken to preserve the carpet from any stains or damage. Going forward, multiple 5/8-inch holes were drilled in specific locations to optimize the efficiency of the lift. PolyLevel was then injected until the floor was back to its original state. Once the floor was successfully lifted, all holes were then sealed and smoothed.
