Unlike most of the work Bedlam Concrete Lifting performs, this particular project was a preemptive measure on a new construction. The homeowners were in the midst of installing a rooftop over an existing patio, attached at one end to the house and supported at the other by two wooden posts. These posts were designed to rest on the ground past the edge of the concrete patio, and would require support in order to keep the new structure fixed in place over time.
Bedlam Concrete Lifting drove two FSI Model 250 helical piers to depths of approximately 7 feet at the planned locations of the wooden posts, taking care to ensure that each pier was precisely centered, then capped both piers with FSI EZ Post brackets sized to fit the posts. The posts were placed atop their respective brackets and attached to the rooftop before expanding the brackets to support their full designed loading.
